Total Knee Replacement Revision Surgery

In primary total knee replacement surgery, the surgeon replaces the knee joint with an implant (prosthesis) made of plastic and metal. Complications such as infections or long-term problems like wear and tear and loosening of the implant require Total Knee Replacement Revision Surgery. In this procedure, when the knee replacement implant doesn’t work correctly, the old implant is replaced with a new one. This surgery is more complicated than initial total knee replacement surgery.
