Gliomas are common primary brain tumours occurring in any part of the brain or spinal cord where glial cells are present. Most gliomas can be surgically removed with several minimally invasive techniques depending upon tumour size and location. Surgery for Gliomas is done to remove as much of the tumour as possible. When gliomas are small and easy to separate from the surrounding healthy brain tissue, a complete removal is done. Otherwise, the surgeon removes as much of the tumour as is safe.
