Radical Nephrectomy (Laparoscopic/Open approach)

It is a surgical procedure of the removal of the entire kidney, the fatty tissues found around the kidney and the portion of ureter connecting the kidney to the urinary bladder. This process is adopted if the kidney is terminally affected by cancerous cells. Sometimes, the surgeon also removes the adrenal gland above the kidney if he detects the cancer cells to be spreading there. The surgery allows both laparoscopic and open approaches.
