Prosthetic surgery for urinary incontinence


Prosthetics surgeries are performed in the field of urology to cure stressful urinary incontinence. It is also performed to help patients who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is a common occurrence in 50% men of age 40 to 70 years. A penile prosthesis is the last resort treatment when other minimally invasive methods of treatment fail. The equipment used in prosthetic surgery is malleable, two-piece inflatable and a three-piece inflatable device that is implanted in men on whom other medical therapies failed.
