This is one of the most common surgeries for Obstructive sleep apnea. The growth of excess tissue in the soft palate of the mouth, located at the back of the roof of the oral cavity can cause trouble in breathing for the patient of obstructive sleep apnea. The surgical removal of such excess tissues from the soft palate is known as Palatopharyngoplasty.
