Operations of the Duplication of the Intestines

Duplication of the Intestines refers to tubular structures that are attached to the intestines which share a common supply of blood, and their lining resembles that of the gastrointestinal tract. Intestinal duplications are treated using surgery (laparoscopically or traditional open surgery), by complete resection of the duplicated portion of the intestine. In case of the presence of proximal lesions, endoscopy may be performed by a highly-skilled endoscopist.
