Neuroblastoma Debulking

Neuroblastoma is a disease wherein malignant (cancerous) cells form in neuroblasts (immature nerve tissue) in the adrenal glands, neck, chest, or spinal cord, causing symptoms like lump in the abdomen, neck, or chest, bone pain, swollen stomach, and trouble breathing, bulging eyes, dark circles around the eyes, or weakness or paralysis. The various modalities deployed in the treatment of this disease include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, differentiation therapy, and immunotherapy. Surgical debulking is performed to relieve symptoms temporarily.
