Mustard/Senning repair -101 WALA LIKH DIYA HAI

Mustard’s operation is performed in the condition called transposition of the great arteries (TGA). The condition is most common in infants, babies with TGA die unless there is a hole between the two sides of the heart to keep the patient alive that allows some blood to get to the body. In TGA, the heart’s two major arteries are reversed allowing the blood that enters the heart to be pumped directly out of the body without entering the lungs. The most common surgical procedures used to treat TGA are called The Mustard and The Senning Repair.
