Iris cyst removal

blog

Cyst in the iris of the human eye is normally an epithelial deposition which usually has no effect on eye health. However, the cysts formed in the stroma, usually in the infancy of the patient, are aggressive in nature. Most iris cysts do not require any treatment. Treatment is performed in cases of secondary glaucoma or when the visual axis (pupil) becomes blocked. Laser treatment is used to deflate iris pigment epithelial cysts with minimal side effects.
