Iridodialysis repair or papillary reconstruction

The iris is attached to the ciliary body of the eye in the ocular space. When due to trauma or forceful accident, there is a localized separation or tearing away of the same from the ciliary body, the condition is known as Iridodialysis. A small localized and clinically insignificant case (no diplopia or visual disturbances) of iridodialysis may not require any surgical intervention. However, a large and clinically complicated iridodialysis often requires surgical intervention.
