Fusion surgery cervical / lumbar spine

Spinal fusion, otherwise known as spondylosyndesis is an orthopaedic surgical or neurosurgical technique that joins or fuses two or more vertebrae. The procedure can be performed on any part of the spine, like the cervical, lumbar or thoracic spine, and it also helps prevent any movement between the fused vertebrae. Spinal fusion surgery is indicated if you are suffering from back pain that is caused by degenerative disk disease, fracture (broken spinal bone), scoliosis, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, tumors, or spine infection.
