Excision of urethral caruncle

A urethral caruncle is small, non-malignant growth at the most distal part of the urethra, especially at the back of it. This is much more common in women who have undergone menopause, although some instances in pre-menopausal women have also been observed. When this growth cannot be treated with medicines, it is surgically excised by a procedure named Excision of urethral caruncle.
