Excision of Brain Infratentorial Tumours


The region of the brain anatomy below the tentorium cerebelli, the extension of the dura matter which separates them from the occipital lobes, is known as the Infratentorial region. Any inflammation that gives rise to a tissue outgrowth is called a tumor, which can be benign or malignant. The surgery to excise out the brain tumors from this region is called the excision of brain infratentorial tumors.
