Endovascular Coarctation Dilatation

Endovascular coarctation dilatation is a congenital heart defect present at birth, that means the aorta is narrower than it should be and has a high rate of morbidity. Stenting and balloon dilatation is conducted in the treatment of the coarcted portion of the aorta. CT angiography is conducted before the beginning of this procedure. Balloon dilatation results in the expansion of layers between the aortic walls. This Endovascular management technique decreases hypertension in patients and also resulted in decreased medication.
